L’Osteria brought its large pizzas and pasta dishes to Rosenhof at the beginning of 2025. The Chemnitz restaurant occupies the ground floor at Rosenhof 4–6. Its pizzas measure around 45 centimetres across, and the branch offers online table reservations as well as ordering.
Watching the pizza makers
At the open kitchen’s viewing counter, guests can watch the pizza makers prepare and bake their pizzas. The working area is framed by glass panels and marked with a large Cucina sign. When the branch opened, it had three ovens with room for up to 24 pizzas at once.
Benches beneath globe lights
Long upholstered benches divide the dining room into rows of tables, with individual chairs opposite. Large rings of globe lights hang above them. Green and cream tiles frame the kitchen, while framed Italian advertising posters line the adjacent wall.
A new use for an older building
The dining room opened with 155 seats. The restaurant was fitted into an existing East German prefabricated concrete building, with Schwitzke Project carrying out the interior work alongside the landlord’s facade and floor works.
Lunch and evening visits
The Rosenhof branch opens at 11.30am Monday to Saturday and at noon on Sundays. Friday and Saturday service extends to midnight. The restaurant can be reached on 0371 70096545; its own location page provides the table reservation link.
