L’Osteria, Schleswiger Straße 34, has an outdoor playhouse for climbing and sliding. Families have high chairs, baby-changing facilities and a drawing table. Parking outside is free, with drinking water for dogs at the entrance.
On Schleswiger Straße since December 2013
L'Osteria opened on 13 December 2013 at the corner of Waldnielerstraße. At opening, it announced 220 indoor seats and another 230 on a terrace facing southwest. Large windows and a kitchen visible to guests formed part of the original design. Olive trees and oleander were included in the terrace design.
Sharing a pizza
The large pizzas can be ordered with different toppings on each half. Pasta is also part of the offering.
Arriving via Waldhausen Kirche
For visitors arriving without a car, Waldhausen Kirche bus stop is on Waldnieler Straße, which also borders the restaurant’s site. Routes 013 and SB83 connect this area with the main railway station and city centre. Another stop in the neighbourhood is Nicodemstraße, served by routes 003 and 033. From either stop, the final part of the journey is on foot to Schleswiger Straße.
Smaller portions and takeaway
Children can order smaller portions of pasta, and all dishes are available to take away. The restaurant opens daily at 10.30am, closing at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and at 11pm on other days.
