LA PIZZERIA München
L’Osteria München Künstlerhaus
Pizzeria in München
At Munich's Künstlerhaus, Lenbachplatz 8, the setting is a significant part of a pizza evening. L’Osteria occupies rooms on the ground floor of the west wing, including a Venetian salon, and has a large terrace. The Munich Philharmonic also points concertgoers towards this restaurant within the building.
A Venetian salon and an open kitchen
The dining room opens towards the terrace, while the layout also offers a broad view into the kitchen. Its stone-oven pizza follows L’Osteria's large format, with different toppings available on the two halves.
The Künstlerhaus opened on 29 March 1900 as a meeting place for Munich’s artists, in a building designed by Gabriel von Seidl. Food and culture still share the address: the foundation leases its west wing to restaurants and runs cultural programmes in the house.
Family meals and concert visits
Children can have smaller pasta portions or share the large pizza. A drawing table is provided, and there is a changing table downstairs. The branch also lists a water station for dogs. All dishes are available to take away, including panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert.
Nearby Karlsplatz (Stachus) station and the Lenbachplatz tram stop provide public-transport access. This makes a meal here straightforward to combine with a trip into central Munich. For concerts at the Künstlerhaus, the restaurant is in the same building; the organiser lists it separately from the interval refreshments service.
