LA PIZZERIA München
L’Osteria München Schwanthalerstraße
Pizzeria in München
Olive trees and oleanders frame L’Osteria's summer terrace at Schwanthalerstraße 111. The restaurant stands between Hackerbrücke and Theresienwiese. It opened on 7 September 2018, a few weeks before that year's Oktoberfest began.
Terrace tables and family facilities
The operator lists high chairs, a baby-changing facility and a drawing table for children. Dogs are welcome and can have a bowl of water. Alongside its large pizzas, the restaurant serves children's portions. Those sharing a pizza can order different toppings on its two halves.
At its opening in 2018, the dining room was arranged for around 190 guests. The open pizza counter already gave a view of preparation by hand: dough was shaped, topped and then baked.
Getting to Schwanthalerhöhe
Underground lines U4 and U5 stop at Theresienwiese, while Hackerbrücke provides S-Bahn access to the neighbourhood. The neighbouring Forum Schwanthalerhöhe has two underground car parks open around the clock. It gives Gollierstraße 6 as the navigation address for the car park entrance; the restaurant’s address remains Schwanthalerstraße 111.
The opening report documents a specially made concrete floor, an open kitchen and gold details on the pizza ovens in the Schwanthalerstraße dining room. Today's branch page offers table reservations and explicitly confirms that all dishes are also available to take away. The restaurant stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11pm on other days.
