L’Osteria has been part of the Welfengarten residential quarter, between Nockherberg and Ostfriedhof, since 25 September 2025. The address is Welfenstraße 4. Its opening announcement described a bright dining room with 151 seats and a terrace for another 100 guests, making this a substantial restaurant within the new neighbourhood.
From Gasteig to Welfengarten
The restaurant opened with Egzon Pllavci as its manager. He had previously spent three years running L’Osteria at Gasteig. He had started at L’Osteria as a dishwasher ten years earlier. The residential quarter occupies part of the former Paulaner brewery site. Brewing and logistics moved to Langwied. Inside the restaurant, smaller round tables stand by the windows, with longer tables near the counter.
Open for lunch as well
Welfenstraße also offers Bambini pizza-making for children’s birthdays. Children prepare their own pizza with guidance and then eat together. The programme lasts two hours; dates are arranged with the restaurant.
The restaurant opens at 11:30am on most weekdays, at 11am on Wednesdays and at noon on Sundays. Friday and Saturday service continues until midnight. Takeaway is also available from this branch.
