L’Osteria Münster stands beside the Promenade on Windthorststraße 31, between the main station and the city centre. It opened in 2015 with roughly 180 indoor seats and space for 160 on the terrace. The large outdoor dining area is a draw for a meal in the open air.
Seating in the long dining room
The long dining room has small round tables along its windows, larger rectangular tables in the centre and bench seating towards the back. A counter area runs along the right-hand side.
Two toppings on one pizza
The pizzas measure 45 centimetres across and can be ordered with differently topped halves.
Children, dogs and takeaway
Children have smaller pasta portions, high chairs and a table for drawing, playing and reading; baby-changing facilities are also available. Dogs are welcome, with a water station provided for them. All dishes can be taken away. The restaurant opens at 11:30am from Monday to Saturday and at noon on Sundays. Tables can be reserved online.
Leaving your bike while you eat
Cyclists arriving from the main station can leave their bikes at the Radstation, Berliner Platz 27a. Day parking is available without a customer card: keep the collection slip and pay when you pick up your bike. Cargo bikes, recumbent bikes and bikes with trailers are accommodated too. The station closes at 11pm every day, opening at 5.30am on weekdays and at 7am on weekends and public holidays. A day’s parking costs one euro for a standard bicycle or 1.50 euros for a cargo bike.
