Mario and Patrizia Tridico run the small Pizzeria Pomodoro in Frankfurt-Sindlingen. They have welcomed guests here since 1993, at Hugo-Kallenbach-Straße 12. As well as serving meals in the restaurant, the business offers its own delivery service. Dark upholstered bench seating and beige-brown walls frame the dining area.

The pizzeria belongs to a row of local shops that took part in Sindlingen’s Stadtteilsonntag neighbourhood event. During the 2012 celebration, the Tridicos stayed open throughout the day, with tables and benches on the pavement. In the local report, the couple praised the friendly relationships among neighbouring businesses.
Rustica and gnocchi
Pizzas come in 26- or 32-centimetre sizes. Rustica has anchovies, capers, artichokes and olives, and any pizza can be ordered as a calzone. Pasta options include Gnocchi Sorrentina with mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce; all pasta dishes are prepared with Parmesan.
Pizza trays and delivery
For a group, pizza trays measure 40 by 60 centimetres. Orders of two trays or more need one day’s notice. Delivery to Sindlingen and Zeilsheim requires a €25 minimum order, with other areas available on request. The delivery service finishes at 9pm.
Lunch and evening opening
