A meal in Sportpark Gaarden
If you would like to combine collecting your food with a break outdoors, Sport- und Begegnungspark Gaarden is an option. Its entrance on Röntgenstraße is beside the skatepark. The three public barbecue stations at Coventryplatz have fixed tables and benches, where you can sit down with food you have brought along.
Collecting your order by bus
Preetzer Straße/Ostring is a bus stop serving the area. A temporary change at Kiel Hauptbahnhof is expected to last until 9 October 2026: routes 31, 32, 34 and 71 depart from bay A1 because of construction work.
For the return to Hauptbahnhof, take bus 31 towards Mettenhof from bay C at Preetzer Straße/Ostring. This bay is on Ostring, north of the junction with Preetzer Straße. The bus calls at Karlstal before reaching the station and continues to Exerzierplatz. Check that the destination is Mettenhof; in the opposite direction, the 31 runs towards Elmschenhagen.
