Choose the location first
For a kitchen, look for electric appliances explicitly designed for indoor use. Gas ovens and other outdoor-only appliances belong outdoors. An open door does not turn an interior space into an outdoor location.
Outside, you still need the specified clearances, a stable base and compliance with local rules. Measure the space before comparing models, including room to move a pizza peel.
Think about size and serving
A wider opening can make turning easier but takes up more room. Check the usable baking area and recommended pizza size. Exterior width is not a substitute.
Compact ovens usually cook pizzas one after another. For a group, sharing smaller pizzas as they come out may work better than expecting everyone to receive a whole pizza simultaneously.
Compare fuel and operation
An electric oven needs a suitable electrical connection. Gas adds a cylinder, the appropriate connection and safe storage. Wood firing takes more attention to fuel and flame during cooking.
Look beyond maximum temperature. Controls, space, cleaning and available accessories shape everyday use. Our oven comparison places manufacturer specifications side by side; check the linked product page for the current contents of the package.
