At Barcio on An der Untertrave, a meal comes with views of the river and the Holstentor. The heated terrace opens throughout the year, while the indoor dining space occupies two floors. The air-conditioned café, bar and restaurant also welcomes pets. Upstairs, red and yellow walls surround dining tables beneath a large illustration of whisky production. Upholstered banquettes run around the walls, paired with small tables and individual chairs.
Pizza and pasta
The September 2026 menu includes Pizza Gambero with prawns, garlic, rocket and Grana Padano over tomato and cheese. Pasta dishes come with your choice of spaghetti or penne; the Carbonara combines cream, egg, bacon, onion and Grana Padano. Pizza Bruschetta adds diced tomatoes, basil, garlic and olive oil to tomato and cheese.
Flammkuchen and dessert
The Hummus flammkuchen has falafel, cherry tomatoes, hummus and rocket. A warm chocolate cake with tartufo ice cream and whipped cream is one dessert option. The team also arranges birthdays, stag and hen parties, and company events.
Afternoon cocktails
Happy hour starts at 3 pm with jumbo-sized caipirinhas and mojitos. Coladas, highballs and other cocktails are included too. A takeaway package contains four cocktails of your choice, each in a 0.66-litre serving.
