LA PIZZERIA München
Il Vesuvio
Pizzeria in München
Il Vesuvio at Moosacher Straße 81 separates its pizzas into classic, vegetarian and halal-labelled selections, with a pasta menu alongside them. The restaurant focuses on Neapolitan pizza while also including toppings such as sucuk and pastirma in its range.
Beef salami, sucuk and tomato-free pizzas
The halal section includes Salami Manzo with beef salami and Orientale with sucuk and red onions. Padre Picante adds mushrooms and jalapeños to spicy poultry salami. Pizzas in this section measure 32 centimetres according to the menu. Balkanika combines dried pastirma with Balkan cheese and mushrooms over tomato sauce.
Several pizzas on the vegetable menu have no tomato sauce. Vegetaria Bianco combines mozzarella, grilled aubergines and black olives, while Tartufo Bianco features black truffle and Grana Padano. Marinara is explicitly labelled vegan and lists tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, garlic and oregano as its toppings.
Pasta with its own range of choices
Among the pasta dishes, both lasagne and spaghetti alla bolognese are labelled halal, with minced beef used for the bolognese. The lasagne also includes béchamel sauce, carrots, white onions and celery. Other choices include tagliatelle al tartufo with black truffle and penne with homemade basil pesto.
The restaurant introduces its pizzaiolo Francesco Liguori as a Naples-born, fourth-generation pizza maker. Its website offers a table-enquiry route and links to a delivery menu. Monday is its closing day. From Tuesday to Friday there is a lunch service followed by an afternoon break; evening service begins at 5pm on those days.
