L’Osteria Rheinwerk stands beside the river at Bonner Bogen, opposite the Kameha Grand Hotel. Its Portlandweg 4 location includes a terrace with views towards the Drachenfels.
Glass architecture beside the Rhine
The restaurant occupies the ground floor of the three-part Rheinwerk 3 office campus on the right bank. BonnVisio gives its restaurant space as approximately 700 square metres, with another 500 square metres of terrace. Karl-Heinz Schommer’s complex comprises three elongated buildings fanning out towards the Rhine, distinguished by sharply angled ends and extensive glass façades. The ends project outwards by up to eight metres; the complete ensemble was finished in 2014.
Two toppings on a large pizza
Pizzas measure 45 centimetres across and can be ordered with differently topped halves. Bruschetta is one starter option, with tiramisù for dessert. Pasta is available too, including smaller portions for children.
Children and dogs are welcome
The restaurant provides high chairs and baby-changing facilities. Dogs are welcome as well, with a dog bar listed by the operator. Food can be pre-ordered for collection and a meal beside the river.
