L’Osteria Lübeck looks out onto the Trave from the Trave Quartier at An der Untertrave 111. Olive trees and oleander frame its riverside terrace. Inside and out, the restaurant’s large, roughly 45-centimetre pizzas are a central part of the menu.
From shopping passage to restaurant quarter
The Trave Quartier occupies the former Holstentorpassage. L’Osteria joined the redevelopment of its ground floor, which brought new restaurants into the old shopping passage. The wider building conversion was designed by Lübeck architect Thomas Schröder-Berkentien.
Seating indoors
Inside, high-backed banquettes divide the dining room into rows of tables, with chairs opposite the benches. There are also tables beside the large windows.
Children and dogs
Families can use high chairs, a changing table and a drawing table. Children’s pasta portions are available alongside the large pizzas. Dogs are welcome too, with water provided at the Dog Bar. Food can also be ordered to take away.
Lunch through to late evening
The restaurant opens at 11.30 am Monday to Friday and at noon on both weekend days. Closing time is 11 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Sunday, extending to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Table reservations are available through the restaurant’s website.
Public parking on Untertrave
The public Untertrave car park has 65 spaces and is accessible around the clock. Parking charges apply Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm; payment is available at machines or through supported parking apps.
