LA PIZZERIA Paderborn
L’Osteria Paderborn
Pizzeria in Paderborn
Paderborn’s L’Osteria stands at Königsplatz 15, near Westernstraße and the Pader springs. The restaurant has a large outdoor terrace. Families will find a drawing table for children, and pasta can be ordered in smaller portions.
Königsplatz and the shopping streets
This part of the city reopened after substantial redevelopment in 2018. A broad natural-stone staircase beside the Klingenthal building connects the Königsplätze with Westernstraße, replacing the old concrete ramp. The underground car park beneath the quarter was refurbished as part of the same project.
The kitchen and the founder
Wolfgang A. Dewitz opened Paderborn as his second L’Osteria. The economics graduate had started his first in Bielefeld in 2014, straight after completing his master’s degree. He invested a seven-figure sum in the Paderborn restaurant, with Bürgschaftsbank NRW supporting the financing through a loan guarantee.
Kitchen work is visible from the dining room, with an open serving counter and preparation areas beyond it. High stools follow the long, curved bar, beneath clusters of glass globe lights. Alongside these counter seats, conventional dining tables stand by the windows.
Family meals and takeaway
The large pizza can be shared with parents or siblings at the table. Water is available for dogs, and meals can also be packed to take away. The restaurant stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11pm on the other days of the week.
