L’Osteria Travemünde stands directly on the Trave promenade. At Am Leuchtenfeld 8, the two-storey restaurant serves pizza and pasta beside the water, with a terrace facing southwest for guests who want to eat outside.
Two floors by the Trave
The restaurant opened on 13 July 2023. Its outdoor space was a substantial part of the design: the terrace covers 173 square metres and was fitted out for 80 guests. At opening, another 110 seats were spread across the two indoor floors. An open kitchen, reds and petrol blue feature in the interior design.
Window tables and counter seating
Tall, black-framed windows line the dining room. Tables beside upholstered red benches sit alongside a long counter with high seating. A wooden partition divides the table areas, while a staircase towards the back leads to the upper floor.
Pizza after a walk
The food includes large, 45-centimetre pizzas, house-made pasta and pizza rolls. Beer and fruit spritzers are among the drinks available. You can also take your meal away if you want to continue your walk after collecting it.
Afternoons and weekends
On weekdays the restaurant opens at 3pm, with an earlier noon start on Saturdays and Sundays; it closes at 10pm every day. Tables can be reserved online.
