At Pinocchio, on the corner of Konstanzenstraße and Wallensteinstraße, the osteria and takeaway counter are neighbours. You can eat in the restaurant or collect a pizza from the adjoining pizzeria. Wood-fired pizza has been the business’s focus since 2006. The osteria seats more than 40 people.
From the wood-fired oven
Porcinara Bianca combines mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, rocket and Parmesan without tomato sauce. Cosacca has tomato sauce, basil, olive oil and grated Parmesan. The house-named Pinocchio pizza adds Parma ham, rocket and Parmesan to tomato sauce and mozzarella. Popeye features spinach, a fried egg and Parmesan.
Pasta choices include tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce. Rigatoni al Forno are baked with cooked ham, mushrooms, peas and a minced-meat cream sauce. Both tiramisu and panna cotta are listed as homemade desserts.
Daily dishes and private celebrations
The kitchen prepares changing Italian dishes each day alongside the regular menu. Pinocchio also arranges individual menus for family celebrations, birthdays and company events. These take place in the osteria’s own rooms, with the food agreed directly with the restaurant.
Table reservations are taken exclusively by telephone. Collection orders are also placed by phone, with a pickup time agreed when ordering. Monday is the restaurant’s stated closing day. From Tuesday to Friday it serves lunch and dinner, while at weekends it opens in the late afternoon.
