Amalfi 1 at Sankt-Anton-Straße 10–12 has been part of Krefeld’s pizza scene since 1978. Today, you can order Italian food for collection or home delivery. Alongside pizza, its offering includes homemade filled pasta.
The story behind the number
The name is linked to the Volpe family. As local magazine Crevelt 01 reported in August 2021, the Sicilian family took over after the previous owner left for Aruba. By the time of that report, Baldassare “Aldo” Volpe had been running the pizzeria for more than three decades. The number was added when his brother opened Amalfi 2 in Fischeln in 1987.
Salsiccia pizza and homemade panzerotti
Tradizionale pizza combines salsiccia, rocket and cherry tomatoes with fior di latte. Gustosa has spicy salsiccia, Gorgonzola and onions, while the Margherita here uses Gouda.
The homemade panzerotti have a ricotta and spinach filling, with a choice of tomato and cream sauce or cream sauce. Lasagne is also made in-house. Cannelloni Amalfi contains Italian soft cheese and spinach. Salads come with five pizza rolls and herb butter; the aioli and cocktail sauce are homemade too.
Evening collection and delivery
The restaurant lists evening hours of 5pm to 10.30pm and closes on Tuesdays. Deliveries finish at 10pm. Its stated delivery area extends four kilometres from the pizzeria, with a minimum order value applying. Orders for collection can be placed through the pizzeria’s own online ordering page.
