Pizzeria Toskana combines stone-oven pizza with Italian and German restaurant cooking at Gerd-Dehof-Platz in Mannheim-Neuhermsheim, near the SAP-Arena. Large windows look out onto the surroundings, while a terrace seating 50 guests adds outdoor tables in summer.
Tomato or sour cream beneath the toppings
The pizzas come in two styles: red with tomato sauce or white with Schmand, a thick soured cream. Pizza Toskana combines rocket, peppers, diced tomatoes, onions, olive oil and lemon. White Pizza Salmone features salmon, leek and cheese; the ricotta version also includes spinach and garlic.
Penne Toskana comes with artichokes, olives, garlic and mozzarella in tomato sauce. The meat dishes include Schnitzel “Odenwälder”, served with bacon, a fried egg and fried potatoes. Dishes marked with an asterisk are also available in smaller portions.
Lunch or a meal before the arena
At weekday lunchtime, guests can choose from the regular menu or the changing Stammessen lunch selection. The latter runs from noon to 2pm, Monday to Friday except public holidays. Food is also available to take away.
The restaurant gives a walking time of around seven minutes to the SAP-Arena. Gerd-Dehof-Platz tram stop is behind the building. On Mondays the kitchen opens only for lunch, while Saturday service starts at 5pm. Parking spaces require a parking disc between 8am and 8pm, with a two-hour limit applying on Sundays and public holidays too.
