Sardinian cooking shapes Pizzeria 4 Mori in Mannheim’s Lindenhof district. Antonio Pani runs the restaurant at Meerfeldstraße 11, which dates its beginnings to 1998. His pizza dough ferments for more than twelve hours before it is used.
Salsiccia, pecorino and white pizzas
Pizza Sardegna combines mozzarella with salsiccia, pecorino and radicchio. The spicy Kamikaze pairs salsiccia with gorgonzola and dried tomatoes. Among the white pizzas, made without tomato sauce, Parmigiana comes with aubergine, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and Parmesan. Calzone al Radicchio pairs radicchio with mozzarella, South Tyrolean speck and gorgonzola.
Pizzas are available in diameters of 26 or 32 centimetres. Ortolana, one of the meat-free choices, carries aubergine, courgette, green asparagus, spinach and peppers. The menu offers tiramisu for dessert, while Mirto di Sardegna among the digestifs provides another connection to Sardinia.
An evening address in Lindenhof
From 15 to 21 September 2022, 4 Mori joined fourteen other Mannheim restaurants in True Italian Pizza Week. It selected Sophia Loren and Italia for the event menu, which paired a pizza with either an Aperol Spritz or a non-alcoholic Crodino.
The restaurant explicitly offers no delivery service. Telephone orders are possible, and the address is near the Hauptbahnhof Süd stop. From Monday to Friday, 4 Mori opens between 5pm and 10pm; Saturday is its closing day.
