Giovanni Aloisi opened Don Giovanni opposite Erfurt’s main railway station in late 2007. At Willy-Brandt-Platz 1–2, the restaurant has more than a hundred seats and combines an extensive pizza selection with pasta, fish dishes and event catering.
Peas and egg on the house pizza
Pizza Don Giovanni puts ham, mushrooms, peas and egg over tomato sauce and cheese. Rucola Salmone has pan-fried salmon and rocket. For vegetable toppings, Vegetaria brings together spinach, mushrooms, broccoli and peppers.
Tagliatelle Montecarlo comes with minced meat, basil pesto, pine nuts, red onions, cream and tomato sauce. Fish dishes include grilled salmon fillet with an orange and cognac sauce. The children’s menu offers small portions of penne with tomato or meat sauce, plus small Margherita and salami pizzas.
Wine from different Italian regions
The bottle list includes Sassoalloro from Jacopo Biondi Santi in Tuscany and Primitivo di Manduria Riserva from Felicaja in Puglia. Ca’ Scavi Lugana is among the white wines; Doppio Passo Prosecco Rosé provides a sparkling option.
Taking the food to your celebration
The catering service delivers pizza and other dishes agreed with the restaurant for birthdays, engagements, weddings and company celebrations. Salad or dessert buffets can also form part of the order. The selection is discussed for each occasion.
