At Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 69, Basteria combines Neapolitan stone-oven pizza, homemade pasta and a large terrace. Konstantin and Martin Stützer run this restaurant in Bonn’s former government quarter as well as the Bastei on the Rhine in Bad Godesberg.
A glass frontage and a Neapolitan oven
The former Ristorante Gino’s underwent nine months of extensive renovation before Basteria moved in. Its glass frontage facing the terrace was retained. A January 2023 opening report describes a Neapolitan electric oven fitted with sandstone and a dining room seating 74. An LED panel with an illuminated marble image fronts the counter, and underfloor heating was installed. Mustard-yellow chairs and cognac-coloured benches create a warm colour scheme.
Aubergine cream and a vegan Margherita
Pizza Melanzana combines aubergine cream and sun-dried tomatoes with goat’s cheese, rocket and lemon. The vegan Margherita uses San Marzano tomatoes and cashew-based Vanozza. The delivery menu lists pizzas measuring 30 centimetres across, supplied uncut.
Two ways with lemon and pasta
The ravioli have a lemon and ricotta filling, accompanied by sage butter, cherry tomatoes, rocket and pine nuts. Pasta Al Limone con Gamberetti pairs fettuccine with king prawns, lemon cream sauce, cherry tomatoes and parsley pesto.
