L’Osteria Saarbrücken serves pizza and pasta in the former public counter hall of the Alte Post. The restaurant at Trierer Straße 33 opened in 2014. Its large terrace has olive and lemon trees during spring and summer.
Dining in a former post office
The listed Alte Post building dates from the 1920s. Its renovation preserved the character of the brick façade, including the distinctive arched windows on the ground floor.
Between the Alte Post and Europa-Galerie
The large pizzas can be ordered with two differently topped halves. For shopping before your meal, Europa-Galerie is on the same street at number 1. The shopping centre stands beside the main railway station, also served by buses and Saarbahn trams.
Europa-Galerie’s paid APCOA car park is open around the clock. Payment is cashless, by debit or credit card only. In September 2026, the night rate between 8pm and 7am is €1.50 per hour, capped at four euros. There are also two charging points for electric vehicles.
Children and takeaway meals
High chairs, a drawing table and baby-changing facilities are provided. Dogs are welcome too, with a drinking station available for them. All dishes can be taken away. The restaurant opens at 11.30am Monday to Saturday and at noon on Sundays.
The Amore Speziale ordering offer includes two main courses chosen from pizza, pasta or salad, with two starters or two desserts. Amici Speziale includes four main courses chosen from pizza or pasta.
