Freshly baked focaccia, pizza and pasta are the focus at Pazzaria, at Rüttenscheider Straße 233. This family business gives its dough 48 hours to mature and sources selected Italian products from Viveri in Mülheim. Focaccia is available while each day's batch lasts.
From a pop-up bakery to Pazzaria
Natascha Pierazzi, from the Pazza restaurant across the road, opened this pizza and focaccia business in April 2024. The premises had previously housed the Borbäcker pop-up Rabauken in der Rü. When it opened, Pazzaria initially served takeaway food only.
Goat's cheese, salsiccia and burrata
Today's pizza menu pairs goat's cheese with tomato sauce, fior di latte and honey. The Salsiccia pizza combines the sausage with ricotta, fior di latte and feta. Salame Calabrese comes with cherry tomatoes and chilli oil.
The takeaway selection includes a pizza sandwich filled with burrata, cherry tomatoes, rocket and homemade pesto. Penne Salsiccia has homemade tomato cream sauce and caramelised onions. Penne Schinken Champignons brings together ham, mushrooms and red onions in a white wine cream sauce.
Lunch breaks and private celebrations
Pazzaria provides finger food catering for meetings, training sessions and company events. Its own venue accommodates private parties of up to 30 people, including birthdays and Christmas celebrations. As of September 2026, regular opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, noon to 9pm, with public holidays closed.
