Centrale occupies a corner address at Dortustraße 18, where the street meets Brandenburger Straße. It is a useful stop during a visit to central Potsdam: the restaurant sits beside the pedestrian shopping street running between the Brandenburg Gate and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße.
The house pizza and a pasta alternative
The Centrale pizza pairs dried tomatoes with rocket and sheep’s cheese. Pizzas measure 33 centimetres across. For a different main course, the menu includes tagliatelle with fennel sausage and mushrooms, plus a four-cheese risotto. Homemade tiramisu is available for dessert.
The restaurant’s ordering website also offers a pizza or pasta meal with a soft drink. Listed delivery hours run from 11:30 am to 10 pm every day, making lunch orders an option as well as evening meals.
A former shop becomes a pizzeria
Potsdamer Neueste Nachrichten reported the opening in November 2022, identifying the people behind Amici as the founders. A souvenir shop had previously occupied the corner premises. This explains Centrale’s position among the shops on Brandenburger Straße.
Arriving by car
The Luisenplatz underground car park is directly beside the pedestrian street. Another option is Karstadt/Zentrum at Hegelallee 8, entered from Hegelallee. Both appear in Potsdam’s parking guidance system. Choose one of these central car parks and continue on foot to Dortustraße for the final part of your visit.
