LA PIZZERIA Berlin
Gazzo
Pizzeria in Berlin
Sourdough and regional ingredients define Gazzo on Hobrechtstraße 57. This Neukölln pizzeria uses slow fermentation and works with local producers. Its menu brings Italian pizza together with produce from Brandenburg, giving you a concrete starting point for choosing your meal.
Sourdough meets Brandenburg cheese
The menu includes a pizza with Brandenburg buffalo mozzarella and a white pizza with courgette, Urstrom cheese and lemon. Several pizzas can also be ordered vegan. Buffalo milk soft serve follows for dessert, with an olive oil, sea salt and shortbread option. Dairy therefore plays a role well beyond the pizza toppings.
Gazzo's seasonal posts name specific producers, including Perma Future tomatoes and Urstrom cheese. They give you a sense of the kitchen's changing interests and the people supplying it. Check the current menu for availability: these posts also document earlier specials, so a combination pictured online may belong to a previous season.
How the waiting list works
For an ordinary visit, Gazzo operates on a walk-in basis. Arrive at the restaurant and join the waiting list if a table is not available. Staff send a text message when your table is ready, so you can spend the intervening time nearby instead of remaining at the entrance.
Groups of eight or more have a separate option. Gazzo accepts a limited number of bookings on weekdays up to 6 pm; an enquiry becomes a reservation only once confirmed by email. If you are organising a larger party, use the dedicated enquiry route on the restaurant website.
