L’Osteria at Sand 43 is directly beside Harburg’s market square. The restaurant has served pizza and pasta here since March 2025. Its position in central Harburg, near Harburg Rathaus S-Bahn station, makes it possible to combine shopping with a meal in the same area.
Between Neue Straße and the market
The restaurant opened on 26 March 2025. Reporting on the opening, t-online described green marble tiles, velvet and leather, and a prominent bar counter. It recorded 142 indoor seats and a further 40 on the terrace.
The market at Sand runs from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8 am to 1.30 pm, selling vegetables, fish, cheese and baked goods. The operator lists an 11.30 am opening for L’Osteria on those days, creating a lunchtime overlap for visitors combining shopping with a meal.
Pizza and a seat at the bar
The Harburg restaurant page specifies pizzas measuring about 45 centimetres across. There are also seats directly at the bar in the centre of the room.
The opening team in March 2025 had roots south of the Elbe: restaurant manager Marcel Wollbrecht and one pizza chef came from Neugraben, while another pizza chef was from the Phoenix-Viertel neighbourhood. As of September 2026, on Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant stays open until midnight; on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays, it closes at 10.30 pm. Sunday opening starts at noon.
