On the former Clouth factory site
Niehler Straße 104 is part of the former Clouth rubber factory site. Rubber production here began in 1864. When Clouth 104 was built, the listed industrial façade from the 1950s was preserved. Behind it, a building with offices, studios, a hotel and restaurants was completed in 2019.
The building’s public underground car park is accessed from Seekabelstraße, opposite numbers 2–4. It has 200 spaces for cars and motorcycles. There are no entry barriers or paper tickets; payment is cashless, by card or smartphone.
Apart from Sundays, the restaurant opens at 11:30am; on Fridays and Saturdays it stays open until midnight.
Reaching Nippes by tram
Florastraße is a convenient tram stop for the Clouth site, served by lines 12 and 15. For the journey back towards the city centre, use platform 1: line 12 runs towards Zollstock Südfriedhof and line 15 towards Ubierring. Ticket machines are available for both directions. The final stretch between the station and restaurant is on foot through Nippes.
