Outdoor tables overlooking the harbour basin are the defining feature of L’Osteria Köln Zollhafen. The restaurant is at Im Zollhafen 2–4, between the Rhine and the old town, near the Kranhäuser buildings. It serves large pizzas and pasta.
Beside the harbour and Rhine promenade
L’Osteria occupies the dining space in an office building completed in 2008. The Schokoladenmuseum stands at the tip of the Rheinauhafen; walking south along the river leads there from the cathedral and old town.
Finding your way by the Schokoladenmuseum
The Malakoffturm, immediately in front of the Schokoladenmuseum, is a distinctive harbour landmark. Bus routes 106, 132 and 133 serve the Schokoladenmuseum stop. For a museum visit before your meal, level access routes, ramps and lifts provide step-free access to all exhibition rooms.
Parking beneath the Rheinauhafen
The public Rheinauhafen car park has an entrance at Harry-Blum-Platz 2. Inside, turn left towards the northern museum area; exit 1.02 brings you out in front of Im Zollhafen 2–4. The car park is open around the clock, with a height limit of 1.90 metres.
Lunch and later evenings
The restaurant opens at 11:30am Monday to Saturday and at noon on Sundays. It stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11pm on the other days. Food is also available to take away. Tables can be booked online; the restaurant’s direct telephone number is 0221 66964750.
