Ordering inside the restaurant
In 2023, Hammerbrook became the first Smiley’s restaurant to introduce ordering terminals. There is a separate menu with offers for dining in. As well as evening meals, the restaurant explicitly caters for customers eating during their lunch break.
Choosing the dough and crust
The Hammerbrook description distinguishes Classic and wholegrain dough, with three crust options: extra-thin, regular and cheese-filled. The current menu includes Hot Tucson with spicy salami, jalapeños and hollandaise sauce.
According to Smiley’s ingredient information, Gouda is used as the standard pizza cheese. The range also includes Gran Biraghi, an Italian hard cheese made from raw milk and matured for at least nine months. The brand describes its texture as hard and crystalline, with a nutty flavour.
Lunch, pickup and delivery
The current branch page lists pasta, baked dishes, croques and wraps alongside pizza, plus a lunch offering. A separate children’s menu is available. Takeaway customers can order for pickup through the local shop; the operator’s separate website also lists telephone ordering and contactless payment. On the premises, cash, debit cards, Visa and Mastercard are accepted. The branch also lists PayPal as a payment option for online orders.
