LA PIZZERIA Hamburg
Farina meets Mehl
Pizzeria in Hamburg
In a former industrial courtyard at Gaußstraße 190, Farina meets Mehl combines Neapolitan pizza with a cocktail bar. The restaurant occupies the lower ground floor of a brick building on the Thalia Gaußstraße site. Diners can see into the open pizza kitchen and watch its clay oven at work.
Potatoes on pizza, pistachios with pasta
The 2026 menu lists Bianca with buffalo ricotta, fior di latte, mashed potato with garlic oil, rosemary and baby spinach. The Mortadella pizza includes buffalo ricotta, pistachios and lemon oil.
Pasta options include tagliatelle with homemade pistachio pesto and pappardelle with slowly cooked ragù. The panzanella starter contains cherry tomatoes, capers, dried tomatoes, olives and pine nuts.
Cocktails and celebrations in the Gaußhöfe
The bar mixes cocktails including Negroni and Basil Smash. Alcohol-free Farina Wild Berry contains homemade raspberry syrup and lemon. For birthdays, company events and weddings, the restaurant offers two event spaces accommodating up to 150 people.
Access and dietary requirements
Vegetarian pizzas can be ordered without cheese or with vegan cheese. Farina explicitly does not offer gluten-free pizza: the restaurant explains that its single pizza oven would not allow separate preparation.
A ramp behind the terrace leads to the entrance. There are two steps on the way to the toilets, and the restaurant has no accessible toilet. According to the operator, during theatre performance hours guests can use the accessible toilet at the Thalia diagonally across the courtyard.
